What are Eyelash Extensions?
Enhance your eyes by adding customized length and/or volume to your natural lashes with lash extensions. Achieve whatever look you desire whether it be more natural or dramatic. Refills are suggested every 2-3 weeks to maintain the fullness of the extensions.
How do i know how long i need to book for my fill appointment?
Everyone's lash cycle is different. Some people can go 3 weeks and only need a 60 minute fill, while others need a 60 minute fill every 2 weeks. Typically, at 2-2.5 weeks a 60 minute fill appointment is needed. If you are past 2.5 weeks, we recommend booking a 75 minute fill appointment and a 90 minute fill appointment at 3-3.5 weeks. If your fill time is less than 90 minutes, you will only be charged for the amount of time needed. We would rather have more time booked out and not need it, than not enough time.
How long does it take to apply the eyelash extensions?
It typically takes about 2 - 2.5 hours to apply a full set of eyelash extensions. The time can vary per person. The clients eyes are closed the entire time and most find it quite relaxing.
How long do lash extensions stay on?
Eyelash extensions last depending on how well they are cared for. Your natural lash cycle is typically about 2-3 weeks in which at that time you would need to come back for a refill.
Are they waterproof?
YES! You can shower and swim in them.
The only time you can't get them wet is 12-24 hours after your full set and refill.
What should I do before I come in for my lashes?
Please remove all makeup around your eyes and contacts before you come in. If you don't we will remove it when you arrive.
Are there any side effects from the adhesive?
Yes, some people can develop an allergic reaction to the adhesive (5% of the population is allergic to cyanoacrylates). It usually presents after 3-4 exposures to the adhesive. For those who are allergic, the morning after their service, the lids of the eyes will be puffy - more swollen than a night of crying. The eyeballs will be "quiet" - no redness or discharge. This condition cannot be avoided by changing brands of adhesive. It will occur every time lashes are applied to an allergic person using the cyanoacrylate
What kind of lashes do you use?
We use 100% polyester fiber extensions. They have cute names like "silk" and "mink", but they are not actually made of the stuff, they are synthetic. We stock an extremely wide variety of lash lengths, thicknesses and curl shapes - far beyond the typical "start up lash kits" available to professionals. This variety ensures the best look for your eyes - not just the most popular sizes.
Do extensions cause your lashes to fall out?
No, not when they are precisely bonded and placed right. When lashes are done with the active growth phase, they will shed normally. If extensions are the wrong fit or stuck together they can fall out together, pulling out in clusters or clumps. Your lashes are given individualized attention and are isolated and precisely bonded. They are matched to the right variable and placed right according to your unique anatomy.
